Boniface Mwangi Kariuki, the trader who was shot by police in Nairobi’s central business district, remains alive and is currently receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital. His family, after visiting him in the intensive care unit, confirmed that the 22-year-old hawker is in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head. According to hospital officials, doctors are working around the clock in a bid to save his life.
