HEALTH CS ADEN DUALE CHAMPIONS FULL DIGITIZATION OF KENYA’S PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has noted that his ministry is
committed to the digitization of the entire pharmaceutical ecosystem.
The CS reiterated that the move is aimed at creating a modern,
an efficient and independent regulatory environment that can keep up
with evolving science and practice.
Speaking during the 45th annual Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya
scientific conference at Sarova Whitesands in Mombasa County, the
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale noted that his ministry is working
round the clock to ensure that there is a shift from passive to active
surveillance in the pharmaceutical society. He disclosed that the digitizing of the Health Products Supply chain will facilitate visibility of the movement of pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceutical products across the healthcare system. sentiments echoed by Director General for Health Patrick Smith.
