Protests in parts of the country were marred by destruction and looting. In Kikuyu constituency, seven people were arrested in connection with the destruction of Kikuyu Police Station, Kikuyu Law Courts and the Sub-County administrative offices, as well as Olkalau police station. Similar destruction was witnessed in Bungoma as protestors invaded the Governor’s office before they were repulsed by police officers.
