COUNTY ASSEMBLY OF EMBU COMMENCES IMPEACHMENT OF FINANCE CEC

Members of the County Assembly of Embu on Wednesday commenced the process of removal from office by impeachment of Finance and Economic Planning CEC Prof. Joe Kamaria on the grounds of contempt of the assembly and incompetence. The MCAs accused Prof. Kamaria of repeatedly failing to submit reports on budget implementation by his docket to the assembly and blatantly ignoring summons to appear before the Assembly Finance Committee to address issues regarding revenue collection and budget performance.
