Business activities in the Nairobi central business district was brought to a stand still for the better part of Wednesday, with many shops remaining closed as business owners took precautions to avoid getting caught in the crossfire between police and protestors who were out to pay respect to victims of police brutality, in the anti finance bill protest of 2024 that caused the death of more than 60 people. But unlike what was the case previously, hundreds were forced to walk to the central business district with public transport vehicles relegated to the city's outskirts.
