Burundi leader: ‘We won't be killed like the Congolese are being killed' - BBC Africa
As the conflict in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo is deepening, the fear of a regionalisation of the war also grows. A ceasefire was reached between the Rwanda-backed M23 rebel group and the Congolese Armed forces but it was short-lived. Now the prospects of a spill over into neighbouring Burundi is raising concerns. BBC Africa’s Nomsa Maseko was in Bujumbura to interview the Burundian president Évariste Ndayishimiy.
